We drove out to Index to see where the Index Galena Road has closed after all of the rains. It appears to be just beyond the last bridge that crosses the river, maybe a mile or less from the campground. This sunken section part doesn't appear as major as the other section that is shown in a post by WTA on December 19th, 2025. (Unless that photo was from the 2006 washout?!?)
Looks like the long way around to the campground and nature trail. There were many others looking at this spot too. Index is such a neat little town with those big looming walls, tucked in between along that crazy, wild river.

It doesn't look to difficult to repair. But will they? Right now the county doesn't seem to have enough money to fill potholes.
