Enjoyed a lovely winter day out on trail. The trailhead was maybe a bit over half full and we saw quite a few folks on trail, including a number of cute dogs. We just went from the trailhead up to Striped Peak and back. Was nice to get a bit of elevation in after a lot of indoor days.
We stopped to look around the bunker on the way up — it goes quite aways back!
The trail was in great condition. We stopped for a snack at the top and used binoculars to admire the hardy folks who were surfing at Crescent Beach. It was nice to get some sun — although the wind was quite cold when we weren't protected from it.
This is such a nice trail for year-round hiking.
