Ground was snow covered about 2/3s of the way up. I switched to microspikes which helped a lot with the snow and wet roots. The snow got serious when I broke out of the trees onto the boulder field. Luckily a couple people had broke trail and I was able to follow their footprints all the way to the top. I'd recommend microspikes and poles, especially for the trip down, but as usual there were people in running shoes, without any traction or poles. I'd also recommend extra layers for the top which was well below freezing and while there was only a slight wind, it made it feel colder.
