It's been awhile since the last trip report, likely due to the atmospheric river that's been going through North Bend. The trail was in pretty good condition given the weather over the last couple of weeks. There was a short section of flowing water on the Boulder Loop section which is easily avoided and some small puddles which are also easily avoided. There are a few blowdowns that weren't there before the storms and they were all step-overs except one which involved going a few feet off trail to get over it, due to the branches. The wind picked up a little during the hike and it was pretty cold at the top with the ground and trees frozen. I only hiked to the first opening at the top, lots of clouds today and not much to see. I headed back down and made good time, even if there were few slippery rocks and branches. I only saw a few hikers today, which was surprising given the lack of rain this morning.
