Olsen Creek — Thursday, Nov. 20, 2025

Today we wanted to check out somewhere new. We looked at what might be in the area and decided on Olsen Creek. We parked at the Y road trailhead. Easy to get to and a pretty drive along Lake Whatcom. We took Hedgehog up to where Lion’s Mane starts and then took the forest road down. We made a detour to see Olsen Creek down one of the forest service roads. It was stunning. All junctions were labeled. Easy to follow and the forest was lovely. We preferred the Hedgehog trail over the forest service road. A little bit of fall color left here and there. Only saw 3 hikers and 2 bike riders but the parking lot had about 10 cars.
