We started at the south entrance and parked by the beach. It was super cold and windy and a little hard to get motivated. We drove around to the north entrance and parked in the day use area. The trail starts off protected in the woods. It’s amazing how much warmer it was compared to the park on the other side of the river. The trail is in good shape with plenty of sunny spots along the river. I think I’ll try snowshoeing on this side when winter comes.
