Road is fine for any vehicle, has some sections that take a little more caution but pretty good shape compared to others.

Trail to the split for colchuck is in good condition there are quite a few down trees since I did colchuck a few weeks ago. Before the split the were all small and very easy to step over or go under, after the split there were a few that took care and climbing to get over. Still wasn’t bad though. Trail was off and on patches of snow until the bridge and turned to pretty solid compact snow ice the closer I got to the split. Once I past the split the snow was thicker but not traveled on hardly at all so it was easy travel to the lake (2weeks ago colchuck was icey so I’m assuming it’s really really bad with how the trail was coming up to the colchuck split). The lake was beautiful, already ice forming the first 10ish feet around the edge.

Did not see a singular person the whole hike until I was 2miles from the trailhead, and the parking lot was the emptiest I’ve ever seen, especially for sunny weather.
