Hansen Ridge — Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025

Snoqualmie Region > North Bend Area
Views at the beginning of the trail.

Went up to the Hansen Ridge Loop today before the road becomes covered in snow, and the road was actually not as bad as I remember from a few years ago. As long as it remains snow free, I would say lower clearance cars could make it to the TH just fine. Right now, there is no snow on the road until the last 0.25mi, but that will likely change soon as more weather rolls in. The parking area was free of snow, but as soon as you step on the trail, there is snow. We broke trail the whole loop, but only about 2-8" of snow depending on elevation and drifts. The vegetation along the trail was sometimes bent all the way to the ground creating some obstacles, but still very passable. We hiked in boots and didn't end up using our spikes. I would say snowshoes will be helpful/necessary after the next snow storm.

All in all, still a very lovely loop, totaling 5.7mi today, since we didn't go onto the Harris Lake Trail for any additional views/miles. We had the trail to ourselves and saw fun critter tracks along the trail, too!

Critter prints.
Some of the branch obstacles.
