Palisades — Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2025

This is such a a great trail year round, but it is especially spectacular with fall color! Easy access along highway 410. No restroom facilities. I hiked to the third set of ledges and didn't encounter any snow. I saw a grouse and 3 elk on trail, but not the usual goats. The recent trail maintenance that occurred earlier this year has had more challenges from further trees falling and the hillside slipping just before the stairs, which makes a challenging section of trail. Still very doable, but care (and more maintenance) is needed.
