Spent a magical day hiking to Lake Stuart. I was time-crunched and my original destination was Horseshoe Lake but Stuart was quiet and beautiful. When I got to the trailhead at 9am it hadn't started snowing yet, but by the time I made it to the first bridge it was dumping. Loved it! Tons of people were heading to Colchuck and I talked to a group of three visitors who were planning to do the Enchantment hike through. I wonder if they made it...
Anyway, ate lunch at Stuart and watched the fog drift in and out and over the lake and then headed back. It had stopped snowing around 2pm and there were breaks in the clouds with blue sky showing through. T'was a very lovely day outside.
