Walked the little UW Bothell Cascadia Community College Wetlands trails Sunday morning. Note, they are also signed as part of the larger North Creek Trail system as well. The trails remain paved mixed use with one bit of elevated boardwalk that run along the western side of the reclaimed wetlands area within the college campus. Parking at the school lots is pay all the time 24/7 but you can also walk over from the Sammamish Valley trail on the south end or from the North Creek Trail system on the other side of I 405 easily. No restrooms available along the route. All trails were in good condition, though the marsh water level is getting quite close to the trail near the Sarah Simonds Conservatory area so there is some potential for flooding. Not much wildlife out today as it was pretty breezy, but the area does have good bird watching in better conditions. Don’t miss the very nicely done armed forces memorial along the route as well. One other October related side trip - the old Bothell pioneer cemetery is directly west of campus on Valley View Rd if you are looking for some additional spookiness. Lastly, the little Hillcrest Bakery a few blocks past the cemetery makes a very nice spot to do some post walk carbohydrate replacement when they are open. A nice short little walk with lots to see.
