Perry Creek — Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2025

I've been up this trail twice in the past during the summer to approach Mount Forgotten, but I have always wanted to visit in the fall to see all the colors, and it was so spectacular! The colors in the canyon are at peak, and the maples right along the trail are mixed with many at peak but many still with green and will be putting on a show for the next couple of weeks. We turned around at the waterfall before the stream crossing, but looks like several groups went further up toward Mt. Forgotten meadows. There was a decent amount of hikers but still not crowded at all, especially compared to the more popular larch hikes. Gem of a fall hike for sure!
