Rainy Lake — Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2025

Rainy Lake was the perfect leg stretcher on the looong drive from Olympia to Winthrop! It’s just a short 2 miles round trip, but the lake and the fall colors/larches above the lake at the end are worth it if you are in the area. Lots of yellows and reds along the path. I arrived around 2:30pm and was able to find a spot in the main lot (although there were cars lined up along Highway 20). Just a quick report - I’m off to do Blue Lake tomorrow!
