Blue Lake — Sunday, Oct. 5, 2025

Busy as expected in fall with full parking lot and had to park half a mile down the road and hike to the trailhead along highway 20.  Lots of people on the trail, many with dogs and young children, great hike for the whole family. Hike is in forest for first half without much views when suddenly burst out and get a view of the larches to come. Over half the larches are a good yellow with many lemon-lime green, should be closer to peak next weekend. Enjoyed sitting by the lake and seeing the beautiful blue color with the sun shining down. Have enjoyed this hike before and will definitely be back in a future fall hike.
