Road: high clearance required; easier leaving than coming. My old Mercury Mariner hybrid was fine.
Epic hike starting with forest, then high bushes, then switchbacks of berries forever! I encountered a cute bear at the start of the switchbacks who bolted as soon as they heard me talking. No other bear sign. I did this solo and only encountered one other hiker beyond the falls (which are near the start) despite the perfect conditions.
