I arrived around 5pm, few cars parked at the trailhead.
This trail was interesting because of all of the public mining. There were dig holes and sifted dirt all along the trail.
I had missed the initial turn uphill for the mountain trail and walked along the bigger trail, with even more mining activity. I turned back and found the trail, which was steep as expected.
I realized I wasn't going to make it up before dark and opted to go back down after some wandering on the second FS road to look around. Found some interesting rocks with some crystals in them and headed down. Still managed to get 4 Miles of hiking in. Last hike of August.
