You get a lot of bang for your buck on this trail with beautiful views of Shuksan and Baker but it can be hard on the knees especially if you have legs on the short side. Some of the steps seem to be built for those with long legs. I recommend poles or a friendly hand to help you down on the bigger ones.
At the end of the trail, the app mappings show multiple loop trails to explore and make a lollipop hike but we could not find a way to close the loop and got cliffed out. Maybe there is a way but we gave up and did not attempt the social paths through meadow area. There were tons of people trying to make a loop and insisting their app said it was the right way... I have a feeling this is a case of AllTrails recording unofficial paths.
Please stay on the trail and the big boulders. This is a very popular trail and all those feet destroy the meadows. They have begun roping off some of the most trampled areas and I would not be surprised if more ropes go up in the future. It seems either signage or ropes are needed at Huntoon Point.
Toilets: The vaults at the parking lot are smelly but nowhere near the stink of the ones at Heather Meadows. I definitely recommend using these over Heather Meadows.
