This trail is in great condition.

Got to the Th at 8:10 and there were very few cars in the lot.

At 1.6 miles I arrived at the bridge. Since I was doing a trail patrol for the U.S. forest service, I decided to go the the west side of Talapus to check on the campsites. Mostly they were in good condition, but someone had made a fire recently. No campfires are allowed. Please remember that.

Talapus was fogged in.

I hiked up to Olallie and enjoyed chatting with a few folks before taking a dip in the lake. The water temp was warmer than the air temp.

While there was little trash on the trail, I did pick up 2 poop bags. Please carry your poop bags. Do not leave them on the trail for later pickup.

One of the photos shows a sign. Note the slight arrow shape pointing you into the wilderness.

Enjoy your time in the woods.

We are the two ladies who were chatting with you! Great meeting you and seeing you go for a dip in the lake. Thank you for your great work as a volunteer for trail patrol.
