Started around nine, the lot had a few cars already but ample parking. The PCT is well maintained and very easy to travel on, there were ripe berries by the ton; huckleberries, blueberries, the occasional thistleberry and salmonberry.
The scramble is well defined and took about twenty minutes to get to the peak. I just used gloves for grip.
I was limited on time so I just did the peak and didn't go further to the narrow sections of the Katwalk, that'll be for another day. Last water was a creek around 4,300 feet.
On the way back I decided to make it a loop and took the Commonwealth Trail. It's overgrown but not difficult. It forks in a few places so having a map or route loaded into a GPS is nice.
Left around four with the lot significantly more full. I can see it being difficult to park on the weekends.
