Should have done this a few weeks ago as the vast majority of the bloomage is far past its prime. Still quite a number of stragglers so not a total loss. It was nice to do this with the temperature down 15F+ than normal. The Teanaway region generally has light canopy with very dry and loose soil that loves radiating the heat.
Anyway, it turned out to be a very enjoyable experience, shared with quite a few little squirrels zipping around doing their thing. Almost clear skies (no notable smoke haze) and just the right light breeze. And that very appreciated lower temperature.
Will definitely do the basin again next year, a little sooner like early July.
