Windy Trail, Loowit Falls & Truman Trail - Pumice Plains — Saturday, Jul. 26, 2025

Hiked from Windy Ridge down Truman trail to Windy Trail to Loowit to Loowit Falls. Then continued on Loowit to a view of both Loowit and Step Falls just past the Willow Springs junction. Then continued on Willow Springs to Truman which is now a road for the Spirit Lake outflow project. Came back on the road. Don't recommend Willow Springs. Would return on Loowit next time. Willow Springs is hard to follow without a track. Recommend avoiding Truman road as much as possible!
Note: this hike can only be done on weekends and holidays since they are working during the week!
