We hiked in about 3 miles; the trail is nicely shaded for the most part. Few bugs. Not crowded. Periodic cool breezes refreshed us. As we went further in, the trail was more challenging, with rocks and roots, and ups and downs, but it wasn't bad. The potholes seemed worse on the way out than when we drove in this morning.
