Trip Report

Meadowbrook Farm — Friday, Jul. 25, 2025

Snoqualmie Region > North Bend Area

Walked the Meadowbrook Farm trails Friday morning.  Parking at the main lot next to the event building off Boalch Ave NW is free and relatively plentiful.  No public restrooms at this location.  The trails remain a mix of paved, boardwalk, gravel and open grass fields/boot track and are all in good condition other than the field areas are getting grownup/brushy as expected at this time of year.  Water-resistant shoes would be helpful in the field trails if it’s damp out just from all the wet grass.

The two big draws to this little walk are views and wildlife and neither disappointed today.  Super nice views up the valley and over to Mt Si plus lots and lots of big elk out munching in the fields this morning.  Standard cautionary reminder - do not get close to or approach the elk.  All the pics here were taken with a telephoto lens.  Other interesting wildlife today included at least two pair of red trail hawk, (one individual had a very distinctive extra screechy call,) and a half dozen or so big turkey vultures both hanging out in trees and soaring high above in the thermals.  There are a couple of decent options to extend this walk as well; 1) quick road walk down Boalch Ave and under the bridge to the new-ish big Tollgate Farm property or 2) head east either through the dog park or trails just south over to the Snoqualmie Valley Trail.
