Excellent early morning hike to Fremont Lookout today. We arrived to Sunrise at 4:45 and were able to watch Tahoma light up as we hiked Sourdough Ridge, then caught up with the mountain goats in the meadow across from Frozen Lake. From the lake to the lookout we mostly had the trail to ourselves. The lookout was also quiet, with just a handful of others enjoying the views. Of course the trail was busier on the way down with others getting out on the trails. We also saw marmots and pikas, and the wildflowers were in full bloom. When we arrived back to Sunrise it was 8:30 AM and the parking lot was about 2/3 full.
