Skyline Trail Loop — Wednesday, Jul. 23, 2025

Arrived at Paradise parking lot around 9:30am on a Wednesday, lot was full but still some parking down the road, probably about 10 minutes walk from the trailhead (they were doing paving work in the parking lot which added an extra obstacle). Started clockwise, initial half mile is steep but the grade lessens after that. Beautiful clear views of Mt Rainier today - snowfields were surrounding the trail but not much snow on the trail until after crossing the high summit and heading back down towards Paradise. Crowds were manageable but noticeably busier on the second half of the trail starting around noon. Huge variety of wildflowers blooming in the meadows on the east part of the trail after high summit. Watch recorded 6 miles, 1,970 feet, just under 3 hours with minor jaunts to Glacier Vista and Myrtle Falls.
