Granite Mountain — Tuesday, Jul. 15, 2025

Snoqualmie Region > Snoqualmie Pass

Hiked Tues. July 15....very few ppl out on this toasty, sunny day. Wildflowers abundant and glorious once at ~4,500'. Many below that! Bugs, black flies + mosquitos, greeted us at the top, and then followed us down to about 5200'. They seemed to increase in population as the temps warm up. But still worth it!!

Three volcano sightings today: Glacier, Baker, and Rainier. Adams napping under the clouds.

The Flowers, oh the flowers.WOWZA.

Wildlife: a few chipmunks at the fire lookout. Following Leave No Trace, we did not feed them. Also saw 2 deer and a wee, fuzzy mouse/vole.

A great day in the mountains.

Leave No Trace-do not feed these adorable Chipmunks.
