Tumwater Pipeline Trail — Tuesday, Jul. 8, 2025

Central Cascades > Stevens Pass - East

This is a sweet little hike that is great as a recovery hike for some of the bigger ones in the area or just to stretch your legs. AllTrails calls it Old Pipeline Bed Trail. It's easy to miss, but there is a pay sign for it and then a good deal of space to park and a toilet. There is access to a small sandy patch of beach, but that is not your trail. To the west of the parking lot and toilet you will see a wide path that leads up to a fantastic bridge. The trail is pretty level, but there are a lot of toe catching rocks embedded in the ground. There are a couple places you might have to go up or down that require more care, but tired, sore legs managed. You get views of the Wenatchee River throughout. One note, on AllTrails a week ago, someone mentioned seeing a rattlesnake. We did not see any on the very hot day we went.
