Icicle Creek, Frosty - Wildhorse Creek, Cape Horn & Chatter Creek — Tuesday, Jul. 1, 2025

Overnight backpack in the clockwise direction.  Two bridges out on icicle creek, but not hard to get across. Bad mosquitoes! Frosty wild horse trail with lots of overgrown sections and a couple dozen blowdowns (all easy to get around).  Good camping at lake maragaret, but lots of bugs.  Section from margaret to Edna is spectacular and the trail is in good shape.  Still a couple of dicey snow fields to cross that required caution.  These should be melted out in the next 7-10 days.  Bugs weren’t too bad here, because it was windy.  Chatter creek with only a couple blowdowns.  Bugs bad at the top, but actually better down low.
