Started in the late afternoon, saw only one other hiker. Wanted to do Trap or Josephine today but ran out of time. This is more of a ridgeline hike with surprising elevation gain. I don’t know if it was the afternoon heat or the terrain but I got more of a workout than expected.
The bugs were awful. Worse at Hope than Mig. Couldn’t even stop to enjoy the water or have a snack.
I will never complain about the opportunity to get outside and enjoy our natural beauty, but frankly this was a disappointing venture today.
