Mount Zion — Tuesday, Jun. 10, 2025

This is definitely a trail you do for the journey and not the destination. The Rhodedendons are in bloom and I was walking through a magical pink wonderland on a gorgeous sunny day- they're everywhere! They're in full bloom mainly at the lower levels but buds still haven't blossomed at higher elevations, so if you're late to the Rhodie game you still have time...The summit is nothing too exciting although there is a peekaboo mountain/water view, and there is a clearing not far from the summit with the most beautiful Olympic mtn view- classic Washington- moss, rhododendrons and mountains...
The road was passable by my tiny car but quite a few large scattered potholes...
