When I arrived, the weather was rainy, but thankfully, the ground was not too muddy, and had very few puddles. The public bathrooms were in good order, and the trail sign was up to date. The entrance to the trail itself was a little difficult to find and took several minutes before I could locate it, but in the end I was able to manage finding it.
I would take care when navigating on the trail, as the signage can be confusing. I would rely on a physical map, or your phone to tell where exactly you're going. The hike itself was very pleasant, the beginning section of the trail is very wide and flat and gradually ascends to a narrower section that is more aggressively bordered by plants and foliage. From this section on, the trail is more inclined, but still not too difficult for anyone with proper footwear. The biggest hazard to be mindful of is horse droppings left behind in the middle of the trail, but they are easy enough to spot and avoid. Coming back the other way is very easy and difficult. The trip up took about an hour, walking at a modest pace, but the trip back down took only 15 minutes. Overall, very nice trail and a good place for anyone to start out on.
