Cooper River — Saturday, May. 24, 2025

We walked from the cooper river TH to some established sites on Cooper Lake and it was about 4.6 miles one way.  Beautiful views of the river and old growth throughout, wildflowers were also out! 🤩 

Trail is great for kids and if you really wanted to, you could drive to Owhi campground and walk up the lake >1mile to some established back country spots. 

only downside was that folks don’t seem to understand the “no trash services” sign, or the dumpster which has been flipped on its side, and piled a lot of trash on top of it. :/ quite a few candy wrappers on trail too. Picked up what we could carry back to town but sheesh.
