Green Mountain - Gold Creek Trail — Thursday, May. 22, 2025

Arrived at the trail about 2:30, surprised to find many cars in the gravel lot. Plenty of parking with a restroom available. Beautiful day for a hike in the Pacific Northwest. I joined Gin, Angel and her dog Puddles on the trek to the summit. Gold Creek to the summit is a wonderful conditioning out and back trail shared with mountain bikers and horses. On that note watch for horse manure on the trail.  So many Rhododendrons in bloom along with many other wildflowers. Incredible view today of the Hood Canal and Olympic Mountain Range. At the summit views of Puget Sound and Seattle. Stop too long and bugs start buzzing around, we kept moving so we were to too bothered. A great hike for all ages with options other than the out and back to the summit. Happy Trails!  #HikeTheState#
