Excellent snow scramble with stunning views of the alpine lakes wilderness! Only parking for about 3 cars at the trailhead with very little room to turn around if parking is full. No facilities. For the winter route, have a track downloaded and be prepared to make decisions when it comes to snow travel. Mileage will be closer to 6-7 miles than the listed 10. The most recent track on Peakbagger worked well for me but once my party transitioned to the snow section, we made calls based on the state of the various cornices along the way, sometimes opting to take the steeper but (what we felt to be) safer option on climbers left of the ridge. Don't blindly follow footprints, some are wayyy too close to the cornice edge. As others have stated, this will take longer than you'd expect given the stats, in true snow scramble fashion!
Gear used: ice axe, helmet, micro spikes, gaiters, poles, mountaineering boots
