There's a lead-in trail of ~1/3 mile from the parking lot that is quite steep & rough in places, see photo. Lots of folks using hiking poles. This leader provides access to several trails, but the signage on the road and in the parking lot is all for Little Si. The leader has some fine views of the Snoqualmie valley. The Boulder Loop is about 1.5 miles, so close to 2.5 miles total, car-to-car. The first Loop junction isn't signed, see pic; the second junction is (which would have you doing the loop clockwise). We parked just before noon on a Sunday in April, overcast but nice, got the last parking spot in the main lot but there's an overflow lot a few hundred yards west (toward North Bend). Aside from being steep & rocky for stretches, the trail was in good shape. We lost traffic noise around the Si / Loop junction. Lots of large 2nd-growth trees, various species. Lots of people - from trail runners to families, dogs too - but the trail is wide so lots of room to pass & say 'hello'.
