Cashmere Canyons Preserve — Saturday, Apr. 19, 2025

Hiked up to Sunrise and Little Bear on a beautiful sunny day. Lots of balsamroot blooming! We heard many meadowlarks along the entirety of the hike and mountain bluebirds higher up :) trail was in great condition. We arrived around 10 am to a couple parking spots left, but the lot seemed to stay pretty full throughout the rest of our time there. It was very windy as always so I recommend bringing an extra layer even if it’s warm out. 
There was a gradual, but pretty consistent incline the whole route in. I also recommend starting earlier in the day as the lack of tree cover can make the sun quite harsh as the day goes on.
