A lovely spring hike with great views and plenty of wildflowers! Trail starts across the road from the Patterson Lake boat launch and can be done as a loop making for 3.6 miles and just over 1000' vert.
There is a very impressing mosaic art display at the summit with views of the snow capped Chelan-Sawtooth peaks. The balsamroot and lupine have not fully bloomed as of today, maybe 2 weeks out from peak bloom on these western facing slopes. Plenty of spring beauties, blue bells and shooting stars out now though! Little to no shade on this trail so i can imagine it being pretty brutal in the summer heat.
