Road is very rough with lots of potholes, but no snow until the very end. Bear lake is pretty, first half of the trail is slushy, muddy, covered in logs, kind of unpleasant. Once you reach the ridge it is a magical walk through snowy woods and very beautiful. The lake spot is beautiful, cannot really see much lake at the moment because of snow and ice but definitely a great spot.
