I'd hiked these trails before on foggy days so never went up to Chuckanut Mountain North Peak. There's a sandstone outcrop there with a good view of Mt. Baker and the Sisters. Signage calls it Pine Lake Overlook but I only saw treetops. You can also find a scramble spur before turning toward the peak with peek-a-boo views of the San Juan Islands and Olympics. Trillium, Bleeding Heart, and Mountain Rose are blooming. I saw a few snake friends along the way. Quick and easy hike for those in a hurry.
