Based on the current description, we expected to find a trail of length 2 miles for a total 4 mile roundtrip trek. There are trails here, but they are much shorter, often leading to the intermittent waterfalls on the canyon walls, and often petering out before you get there. If you are looking for a 4 mile hike on an identifiable trail, this is not for you. I've submitted a change to the trail description hoping this will be changed soon.
Despite the distance between our expectations and reality, we enjoyed our time in the canyon. We saw tiny wild orchids in bloom, and visited two of the intermittent waterfalls. We spent much of the day off trail. Didn't find any ticks. Did see a snow pile near the larger pool.
We enjoyed visiting Jameson Lake -- it would have been a nice day to do some paddling around in the canoe, and we may try that on a future trip. We found several geocaches in the area. There's no cell service in the canyon, so download at home before you arrive.
