Big Tree Ridge, Military Ridge — Saturday, Apr. 5, 2025

Beautiful day. Only around a half full parking lot at about 4:00pm, on a Saturday. Trails were dry. Crazy to see the big area of knocked down trees from the windstorms. Almost looked like mini logging. Took the Big Tree Ridge trail, then onto the Military Ridge trail. Was going to cut across the Precipice bottom trail back to Big Tree Ridge but it was closed, so just took the little trail by Harvey Manning Park back down to Newport Way. The parking lot was only a few steps from there. This route was 2.13 miles and 597 feet of elevation gain.
