Angel Falls Loop — Thursday, Apr. 3, 2025

I finished up my hikes on Thursday with a short scout of this loop. We were time limited so only got to Curtain Falls and back rather than doing the full loop.

This trail is so gorgeous! Its my favorite sort of forest; open in the understory, moss-covered trees, a creek and a high, leafy canopy. There is a beautiful log bridge about a half mile in that BCHW installed a couple years ago. Still looks great!

The trail itself is absurdly nice. Its about six feet wide at the beginning and narrows to maybe 2.5 feet closer to Curtain Falls. Being able to walk behind the waterfall was fantastic. The trail behind the waterfall is uneven but pretty grippy. I was wearing trail runners and was fine.

Really hoping to get back here for another visit soon.

The trail behind this sign has technically been closed and decommissioned. An edit has been submitted to Open Street Map to get this to reflect on apps like Gaia, Strava, etc. Photo by Anna Roth.
