Trip Report

Striped Peak — Tuesday, Mar. 25, 2025

Olympic Peninsula > Northern Coast

Trail run total trip mileage 6.66  elevation gain 1,880 ft. I headed up bunker hill trail to the top first, trail was in good condition. It was a clear sunny day so had great views at the top. From the top, I followed the logging road for 1.88 miles, surrounded by the sounds of calling frogs. I also spotted a couple of deer and a bald eagle. I then reconnected with the Straight Slope Trail via the single-track connector trail.

The Straight Slope Trail had a few sections with standing water and mud, but they were still runnable. Some of the downhill stretches near the Cove Trail were a bit slick, though overall, the conditions were better than they had been a month ago.I came across two downed trees on the Straight Slope Trail, but they were small enough to step over.
