The parking area is not very big, so it may be a good idea to hit the trailhead early if on a weekend.
This is great hike along the river, I had went out to Elkhorn Campground for some river photos, then came back.
There is an easy to navigate side trail that will switchback up and over the washout, early in the trail.
No snow at all, and any trees that had fallen were either already taken care of, or easy to get over.
