Swamp Lake, Bumping Lake — Friday, Sep. 27, 2024

Hiked the Swamp Lake and Bumping Lake trails as part of a WTA work party in late September 2024. As of September 2024, Swamp Lake trail was clear of all logs all the way to Swamp Lake. Bumping Lake trail is clear to Red Rock Creek (about 4-5 miles from junction with Swamp Lake). 

Be aware of Bumping River crossing south of junction with Swamp Lake trail. River is never more than ankle deep but requires wading over slippery rocks. 

The last 5 miles of the road is quite rutted and challenging. I only recomend for high clearance vehicles that have experience driving on unmaintained roads.
