We found ourselves in the area and decided to check it out. We're glad we did. The trails are in very good condition, with plenty to choose from. Moritz enjoyed the large rock shaped like a Roly Poly chair.
Pierce County has put work into the forest, and it shows. Unfortunately, several waymarkers have been removed from the ground and are no longer useful. Additionally, a 100-meter portion of the trail has been marked with white spray paint on the ground (looks like an attempt at graffiti rather than public works). Not sure what that's about. Otherwise in pristine condition.
