Wenatchee Crest Snowshoe (Blewett Pass) — Sunday, Jan. 12, 2025

This snowshoe trail is along a forest service road so it is wide and a very pleasant grade along a ridge. The snow is packed down and you can definitely get away with microspikes but the moment I stepped off the trail without my snowshoes on during a break, I sunk in up to my hip. Saw a couple of cross country skiers but this is not a groomed trail where snowshoers have to avoid a ski track. We lucked out with a beautiful day. You can see peaks in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness and beyond if it’s clear.
