Started the trek at 9 am mid September, didn't encounter any snow whatsoever, drizzle rain, heavy fog, but it cleared up once we got the the lookout around noon. Bugs are all gone by fall. Trail was clear and was able to be followed without issue. Picked loads of mushrooms and wild blueberries along the way. Rainer was mostly covered up by the fog but we were able to make it out. Can get windy up there so I'd recommend keeping a long sleeve with you just in case during the fall season. Beautiful views, so much pine.
