The pit toilet is closed but there is a sanican that is being maintained at the trailhead.
From what I heard from friends, it is normal for at least half of the trail to be under water this time of year. At times I was up to my ankles in water!
Snow covered the trail beginning at around 3800 ft. It was maybe one inch, just enough to make the talus slippery.
Gear used: trekking poles, 3 season boots, gators, rain gear.
Gear playfully thought of while on trail: galoshes, snorkel.
