Rainy day, no one else on the trail.
Update on the creek crossing next to the waterfall: as mentioned, trail work is going on there. Today most of the rocks to walk across it were underwater, so it was not possible to cross without shoes getting wet. Poles were helpful for the creek crossings.
The second half (steeper part) of the trail, between the Spada lake turnoff and Greider lakes, had significant amounts of water running down it. Around 80% of this section was underwater, and it was not always possible to avoid walking in it. Some of the constructed stairs have eroded a bit.
The re-route around downed trees is well marked, as mentioned previously.
Be prepared to get wet socks/feet on this hike!
No snow on the ground at all.
